Alice Ede

Alice sailed to Canada on the Cunard liner "Ascania", leaving Southampton on the 26 February 1914. Entry found on Passenger Lists at PRO Kew London. The Lists were incomplete, with one page torn and about 30 names missing. It was not possible to find her future husband's name nor his brother who are believed to have emigrated to Canada at the same time.

Alice married Charles Kearvell, son of Frederick Phillip Kearvell and Emily Ede, on 16 Mar 1914 in St Peters Church Winnipeg Canada. (Charles Kearvell was born on 9 Apr 1888 in West Ashling Funtington Sussex, christened on 13 May 1888 in Funtington Parish Church, died on 3 Oct 1971 in Saskatoon Canada and was buried in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon.)
