The newspaper clipping was sent to my father by a former work colleague after she had returned home to Australia in 1960.

It shows Edward and his Sergeant congratulated for their part in the arrest of a criminal and shows them looking at "the cosh used in the bashing".

I apologise for the crumpled state of the clipping but it had been stored away for many years until recently.
